Eltia I. Montano
Galarza Back
Ms. Montano Galarza is a partner in the firm's Litigation Defense Group.
Her practice is composed of civil litigation, medical malpractice, Federal
Employers' Liability Act (FELA) defense and public entity litigation. She is
fluent in Spanish. Eltia holds a bachelor of science degree from
Rutgers University's Newark College of Arts and Sciences and a Juris Doctorate
from Rutgers University School of Law - Newark. While in law school, Eltia
served as a judicial intern to the Honorable John J. Hughes, U.S.M.J., and the
Honorable Virginia Long, J.A.D., and worked as a law clerk at Gordon &
Gordon, P.C., of West Orange, N.J. She also served as a legal research and
writing instructor. Eltia served as a judicial law clerk to the
Honorable Alvin Weiss, A.J.S.C. She is a graduate of the Seton Hall University
School of Law Alumni Inn of Court.
Prior to joining Florio Perrucci
Steinhardt & Fader, Eltia was an associate with the Piscataway, N.J.,
office of Florio & Perrucci, P.C. and with the New York and New Jersey
offices of Fischbein Badillo Wagner Harding, handling a variety of litigation
matters, principally involving general commercial litigation, at both the
federal and state levels. Eltia was also with Sellar Richardson, P.C., of
Roseland, N.J., concentrating in insurance defense litigation. She is a member
of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce of New Jersey and the League of United Latin American
Citizens.
