Seminar to Feature Information on
New Jersey Highlands Act:
How It Affects Land Owners, Land Developers and Land Values

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Phillipsburg, N.J., May 3, 2005 – Changes in land usage and value as a result of the New Jersey Highlands Act will be the focus of a free seminar open to the public on Tuesday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at Warren County Community College.

The seminar, sponsored by Florio & Perrucci, L.L.C., will give participants additional information on the Act and how it affects land owners, land developers and land values.

Speakers include former New Jersey Governor Jim Florio and Michael Perrucci, both principals of Florio & Perrucci, L.L.C., and Rich Pelizzoni, a professional engineer and land surveyor with French & Parrello Engineering Consultants of Holmdel and Hackettstown, N.J. Welcoming remarks will be given by Dr. William Austin, president of Warren County Community College and host of the event.

“During the one-hour seminar, we plan to dispel myths and misperceptions about the Act and its impact on land development and the preservation of open space,” said Michael Perrucci. “Clearly, changes in New Jersey’s Highlands will take place in the next few years. Land owners and developers need to know how this Act will affect them.”

Speakers will address the legal, environmental and development aspects of the Highlands Act. Questions from the audience will be addressed. “Although there are residents in the Highland region who will continue to be philosophically opposed to the Act, our goal for this seminar is to have all who attend gain a better understanding of the law and its potential impact,” said Mr. Perrucci.

No reservations are needed for the free seminar. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and complimentary beverages will be available.
