Members of our Corporate & Business Law Team possess substantial knowledge and valuable experience gained from having served as in house General Counsel to both privately held and publicly traded companies doing business in the United States and abroad. The Corporate and Business Law Team provides effective day to day counsel designed to help clients achieve their business goals, including assisting with business development efforts, commercial agreements, including sales, marketing, software and technology licensing agreements, employment and human resources, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, as well as in early stage formation and any stage corporate transactions, including organizing new companies to do business, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity financing, asset and stock purchase agreements, subscription agreements, shareholder, partnership and operating agreements.
Our clients also benefit from our collaborative approach in efficiently leveraging the expertise of our business law platform which includes labor and employment, government and regulatory affairs, litigation, real estate, banking, construction, energy, and environmental. For example, our Labor and Employment group provides counseling on employment-related issues including employee training, corporate reorganizations, relocations and acquisitions, workforce reductions, drafting and enforcement of employment contracts, including non-competition agreements, and preparing and auditing employee handbooks and personnel policies to name a few.
In addition, our Government & Regulatory Affairs group is well versed in the
policies and procedures of federal, state and local governments. We advocate
for our clients in a highly professional, ethical and sophisticated manner that
can lead to ground-breaking results. In addition to the firm's legal and business
acumen, our attorneys thoroughly understand the inner workings of government
and regulatory agencies, and are able to offer effective solutions for gaining
access at the most appropriate times.
